About The Marlow Movement Clinic
Mark didn’t fall into sports therapy — he grew up alongside it. Born and raised in Marlow, he first got involved in 1996 as a first-aider assisting the physiotherapist at Marlow Football Club. What started as a voluntary role turned into a vocation.
From 1998 to 2013, Mark served as Head Therapist at Marlow FC — responsible for pitch-side trauma care and treatment for all semi-professional players across a demanding football season. That’s 15 years of real-world, high-pressure clinical experience before most practitioners have seen a fraction of the caseload.
Along the way, Mark completed his BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy at London Metropolitan University and presented his dissertation — a Randomised Controlled Trial on hamstring strength and agility in football players — at the 2010 National Society of Sports Therapists Conference.
Two months studying Acupressure techniques in Thailand gave Mark an appreciation of the differences between Western reactive medicine and Eastern preventative philosophy. The best of both approaches are woven into how he works with patients today.
